About me

Hey there, dear visitor!

First of all, thank you so much for clicking on this website and viewing its contents. It really means a lot to me. Whether you've just recently come across my translations or have been with me since the start, you're always welcome to join and be a part of our big foreign Nocturnal Bloodlust fan community at any point in time.

Just click around on this website for a bit to get to know its contents and to familiarize yourself with the band, the dos and dont's and whatever else you find here that may be of interest to you.

And now, for the actual "about me"-part.

I'm a 25 year-old student who has a BA in Japanese Studies as of October 2015 and who is now currently studying to become an English and German upper- and lower secondary teacher. I first saw Nocturnal Bloodlust at Tsutaya O-EAST on August 17th, 2014, during my holidays in Japan. Their powerful performance and especially Hiro's vocals got me right from the start, and I must say I never would've expected that to happen (especially since my friends and I actually came to the live because of completely different bands).

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to see them a second time on August 29th, 2014 at Shibuya REX where they performed as guests. I returned to our hotel even more smitten by them than before, but it was only in October 2014 that I had this idea of starting a translations page for them as a sign of support from my side. To help widen their international fanbase and to help non-Japanese speakers understand what it is they were saying in all of their tweets and the like.

I was, and even now still am, surprised and really taken aback (in a positive way, of course) by all the positive responses my page has been getting over these past one year and six months as of today, and am also thankful to the many kind and supportive messages from my followers, thanking me for all my hard work. Of course, no fan page comes without a dark side to it, which had me shut down my page a few times for a short period of time due to certain "fans" who couldn't behave and acted in a very cruel manner towards me and my page.

In times like these I was even more thankful to my supporters and friends who stood behind me this whole time - so, please, know that this website is first and foremost for YOU! Thanks for everything :)

And one more thing before this gets too long - I noticed many people didn't really know how they should call me when they wrote to me, so to make things a bit easier for you, just call me Cat (unless you know my real name, then use that one of course). Getting messages with "Hey admin!" sounds so formal and makes me feel old haha.

Anyways, thanks for reading and hope you enjoy this brand new website!

Love,

Cat
